Kim Deneys CPA

Director, Senior Accountant

With a strong background as a financial manager in the retail industry, Kim believes there’s no substitute for excellent face-to-face customer service.

“My family had a chain of clothing stores in Victoria and New South Wales called Deneys; head office was on the corner of Watton & Station Streets and I was based there right up until 1983.”

“I find this experience invaluable when speaking to both new & existing clients because I can really understand the challenges and pitfalls that business owners face.”

After training as an accountant at the School of Mines in Ballarat, Kim returned to Werribee and has since become involved with a wide range of charitable organisations.

As well as being a current member  and former President of the Werribee Rotary Club, he was involved with the Werribee Chamber of Commerce and was the first public chairman of the Weerama Festival.

Kim also recently received an “Above and Beyond” Award from Julia Gillard for his 20 years on the School Council of Galvin Park Secondary College.

And it’s this dedication to the projects he undertakes that Kim brings to Negotiis.  “No business is too small to benefit from good advice and it always gives me a buzz to help people through the all-important start-up phase.”

“There is so much opportunity out there and we can provide business coaching and mentoring to help guide you through.”

In his spare time Kim likes to pull on the lycra and get the bike out; he has been a regular at the Round the Bay in a Day and the Otway and Eildon Challenges.

“I’m most proud of a ride I did last year around Werribee and Melbourne and onto Tasmania with three fellow Rotarians and five walkers that raised $18,000 for terminally ill children.”

Ron Holman FPNA

Director, Senior Accountant

“If you’re going to learn anything about me, it’s that I get excited about anything I’m involved in!”

This statement pretty much sums up Ron Holman, who enjoys, as he puts it, “creating order out of chaos”.

Having worked for Melbourne Water and Mambourin Enterprises, while concurrently running his own accounting business from home, Ron has been in the numbers game his entire working life.

But, he is quick to point out, he’s not a traditional accountant only focused on the bottom line; he believes the value lies in understanding what’s creating and driving the figures and how that can be effectively managed.

He describes his professional style as “management while walking around”.

“I like to use the management & strategic systems of big organisations such as Melbourne Water, then customise and apply them to small business.”

“I get excited about helping our clients to understand and implement strategies and budgets and that translates to my work – I think that’s the difference between success and failure.”

A highlight of Ron’s career was his time at Mambourin Enterprises, a Wyndham-based business that trains and employs people with a disability.

“In 10 years at Mambourin I was part of a fabulous team with whom I worked to set budgets and targets for sustainable growth and on my departure last year the organisation was in great financial shape.”

Outside the office, Ron is a not-so-secret “rev-head”, recently buying his wife a black Subaru Impreza WRX STI with gold wheels.

“I once saw V8 driver Craig Lowndes on a plane and raced over to get his autograph on my boarding pass…it was the highlight of my life!”

Amanda Newton MNIA

Director, Client Services

Well-known locally from her time as Deputy Mayor on Wyndham City Council, Amanda is an enthusiastic advocate for her community.

“I loved my time on council. There were tough times and long hours but it was such a privilege to help guide the growth of Wyndham and encourage people to engage with their local area.”

It’s this passion for sustainable success that Amanda brings to Negotiis and will apply directly to your business.

“Negotiis is your strategic partner through the journey that is small business.”

“I like to think that we bring a breath of fresh air to what is traditionally considered to be a stuffy compliance-focused industry.”

“While helping you to grow and strategically develop your business in good times, we will also hold your hand through the critical times!”

A qualified accountant with a background in marketing, Amanda strongly believes it is vital for small business owners to be able to focus on doing what they do best.

“You need to focus on running your business – let us help take care of the rest.”

When not at work, Amanda is a supporter of Farm Day, a program where city families stay for a weekend with families from farming communities.

“Farm Day is a fabulous initiative that highlights the lifestyle and challenges of country communities to city dwellers. My husband, children and I look forward to it every year!”
